Last week in this series of blog posts I wrote about Week 1, when the construction just got started on the rental home. In the event you missed that post you can read about it at this link: Building a rental home on the coast of Ecuador! Week 1 .
Don't forget folks, If you want the inside information on how much this rental home is going to cost me, Subscribe to my FREE NEWSLETTER, where I will talk about the cost of building this rental home in Ecuador. It's not going to be seen anywhere else, so if you are interested in this "eye opening" series don't miss this excellent FREE information, that other blogs and websites charge money for.
So Week #2 of building a rental home on the coast of Ecuador, brings the construction of the footing for the support columns of the 585 square foot rental home. There will be 9 support columns in total for this particular structure.

All of the other columns will be done the same way, with the skeleton of rebar and wood to make the shape necessary to pour the concrete into. The rebar is all hand tied with wire, cut, and bent as needed.

The next weeks posting will be week 3 of building a rental home on the coast of Ecuador. The workers will finish erecting the rebar for the 9 columns, constructing wooden casts for the columns, and later begin to pour concrete for the columns.
